Opening of the restaurant “EQUUS” in the hotel Pullman Riga Old Town
Riga has become richer with a new restaurant named “EQUUS”. The location of the restaurant is unique with a slight historical touch, as in the 18th century the building housed stables of Baron Munchausen himself. A special charm is created by synergy of joining the historical architecture with modern interior. The menu is based of Latvian traditional cuisine combined with Scandinavian trends.
Restaurant “Equus” will be a new discovery to each and every guest, as its concept changes the traditional perception of restaurants.
Open kitchen – where everyone can watch cooking on Josper grill. Tea house Tea Deli, were guests can enjoy unique tea ceremonies and light snacks. Vinoteca with 400 types of wine from the most popular wine regions. For private events there is a separate room – “Rocky Mountain”.
At the opening of restaurant “Equus” n the 8th of July the guests were welcomed by the restaurant team – Chef Ms Svetlana Riskova, Restaurant Manager Mr. Normunds Trunte, Tea Master Mr. Jury Podusov, Food and Drinks Manager Mr. Peteris Ozols and the Hotel Manager Mr. Valdis Vanadzins.
After the official speech and ribbon cutting the guests were shown around the restaurant halls, where an amazing variety of snacks and wines was offered by the experienced wine specialist – sommelier Mr. Elviss Niklass. In the Tearoom – Tea Deli, Mr. Jury Podusov presented a tea ritual. In the open kitchen the Chef Ms Svetlana Riskova demonstrated a truly remarkable culinary show – a Josper Grill food preparation technique. At the end guests could try the prepared dishes – beef, still warm, along with various starters and sauce.
